Dizziness or balance problems can also come from trouble with our feet, legs, neck and eyes. This is because our balance is a complex interaction between three systems:

  1. The vestibular apparatus in the inner ear,
  2. Our vision, and
  3. Proprioception (information from our feet, muscles and joints as to where our body is).

The brain weighs out the information coming to it from these three systems and decides what the most appropriate body response is to keep us from falling. If they aren't all sending the brain the same information, the brain gets confused and dizziness or unsteadiness results.
